um.. yeah, you know I think you're vaguely right.

I think.. Well with Zappa.. I remember I put on some stuff that seemed to be making fun of the life style we were leading.. or the over all whatever of it.. also there's a quality to Zappa's music.. some of it, well its not exactly easy listening, right? Something about the stoner thing of.. how it effects your ability to process stuff.. and how that effects your ability to listen to his stuff.. and I think that lead into it as well.

Finally, Zappa's music does have an almost psychoanalysis streak in it.. in the way he breaks stuff down and shows the stupidity of it.

There has always been a quality in my work, though it has lessoned since the collage days.. of sorta playing with how you process stuff.. which in a certain way mirrors Zappa's psychoanalysis strand.. and I think might have been somewhere in my head relative to the "music to freak out stoners" idea..

and yeah.. there's always been, at least, the idea of a multimedia element to all this stuff

lol, those JP Years were the days, eh? Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't some of the MTFS idea come out of one particularly "chemically enhanced" afternoon when you had put Zappa's "Absolutely Free" on the CD player and The Doctor freaked out because he was so high that the music had gotten to him, and he turned it off....later we was walkin' in the Arbo-re-tum and we laughed about how easy it was to freak stoners out with certain sounds...i think we even had big plans for stuff like "Films to Freak Out Stoners" and stuff, and I even think that the "Huh?" series of paintings were to fit in there somehow....but it's been awhile, so my brain has hard time rememberin'....
