Matt Searles Podcast Episode 1: Video
This was my first shot at making a video podcast.. I think it must have taken my about a month to complete.. which meant this type of production is probably not very realistic for creating video podcasts that you expect to put out weekly *sigh*
Some of the aesthetic thinking in this is a sort of appropriation of ideas of the French New Wave.. in particular some of the ideas of André Bazin. There’s this idea of “spatial temporal integrity of the event.” Basically this has to do with the artifice of media conventions.. and I’m bringing this into the land of the sound engineer… But I won’t go so into all that here.
Anyway this is an iPod formated video.. so you’ll need iTunes / Quicktime or a Video iPod to see this on.. and I recomend you listen to it with head phones on…
